CCDC Wedding Traditions Around The World
In every region, weddings serve as a way to not only celebrate the combining of two lives, but also as a way to honor and preserve the traditions of a culture. From food and music to clothing these traditions are lovingly passed down to the next generation and are used as a way for families to both personalize the ceremony and honor their heritage For its first fashion show CCDC highlighted bridal attire from around the world such as South Asia, East Asia, Africa, Middle East and America.

Islamic Association Of Allen 1st Sunset Fast Ending Dinner
Collin County Diversity Council was honored to participate in the Islamic Association Of Allen 1st annual Sunset Fast Ending Dinner. This dinner is called Iftar What is Iftar? Fasting is one of the five pillars of the Islamic faith, and during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Muslims fast every day from sunrise to sunset. The pre-dawn meal is known as Suhoor, and the fast-breaking meal eaten after sunset is called Iftar.
