Global Diversity “Taste of Cultures “

CCDC Wedding Traditions Around The World

In every region, weddings serve as a way to not only celebrate the combining of two lives, but also as a way to honor and preserve the traditions of a culture. From food and music to clothing these traditions are lovingly passed down to the next generation and are used as a way for families to both personalize the ceremony and honor their heritage For its first fashion show CCDC highlighted bridal attire from around the world such as South Asia, East Asia, Africa, Middle East and America.

CCDC Mental Health Awareness Panel Discussion

Despite significant gains in awareness in recent years, mental illnesses like clinical depression or anxiety disorder are still treated far differently than physical illnesses, like cancer. As a result of the confusion, isolation and lack of support created by stigma, there is an increase in the number of people suffering with untreated mental illnesses or, tragically, dying by suicide. CCDC is committed to ending the stigma of mental health in Collin County. We understand that speaking up is often the first step. CCDC WILL BE VOCAL FOR THOSE WHO ARE SUFFERING IN SILENCE. We are committed to providing Mental Health tools, resources, and inspiration for people in our community.
